Kids are so lucky. Not only do they not have to pay bills, do housework or ever get involved in DIY projects that are doomed to fail, they also get to have the coolest bedroom in the house. But what makes the coolest bedroom so cool? It’s all about the bed, isn’t it? Here are seven amazing kids beds available to buy today.
The Perch Bunkbed, by Oeuf NYC from Nubie, isn’t cheap at over £1200. But if you have the budget it’s a piece of statement design furniture that would make a huge impact in the room.
The Stora bed by IKEA is a much more purse-friendly option if it’s a high bed you’re after. It comes in at £229 and is high enough to fit a sofa, desk or another bed underneath, if you’re looking to utilise the space below.
Want something a bit different? This house bed at Cuckooland could be the answer. At £545 it’s not at a designer price, and it could just be the answer to a newly peaceful bedtime.
A cheaper option – and customisable to boot – is this cute house bed by Dawanda. It works out at around £230 once you’ve factored in the euro to sterling exchange rate and shipping fees, which isn’t a bad price for a highly Instagrammable and quirky bed (although, granted, if you’re handy you could probably make a version not dissimilar to this yourself).
This amazing tent bed at Idyll Home is £1,035, but it’s all kinds of wonderful. The cloth side wall can be left closed, like a real tent, or it can open up as a canopy with the two poles. Who needs to go camping when you’ve got one of these at home?!
This teepee bed of dreams is less than half the price of the version above at £395 but, in my opinion, it’s just as pretty. OK, so it doesn’t have the canopy option, but the cute circular windows at each end more than make up for that I reckon.
