So we’re all about stylish family living here at Roost, but sometimes – sometimes – it’s nice to get a break from the kids, right? And if you’re looking for a new date night destination, or simply somewhere to drink a coffee, open your laptop and take lots of Instagram photos, then this new cool London bar is the place for you.
Created by the adventurously creative design studio Red Deer, the interiors at Martello Hall are all about warehouse glamour and unexpected pairings, with rough textures and rustic finishes, alongside opulent fabrics and statement lighting. Weathered timber sits alongside reclaimed cast iron and copper bar tops, creating a beautifully eclectic finish that would make many a hipster happy.
The all-day and late-night venue offers bottomless coffee and hot-desking by day but in the evening it really comes into its own, with a wood-oven pizza, on-site gin distillery and craft wine on tap. All that aside though, can we just take a moment to look at those exposed walls, pendant lights and bar stools?
You don’t need to be an East London hipster to appreciate the design of this place. Anyone with an eye for industrial styling, unusual textures and specially aged plaster can see this is somewhere worthy of many an Instagram photo.
Now you know where to head next time you’re in Hackney…
