I’m going to call it. It’s spring! Which means we can wave hello to a whole new season of interiors goodies, even though the weather outside still can’t make up its mind. We’ve had a good look around at some of our favourite high street brand’s new offerings and can now show you some of the best SS17 interiors picks around.
Habitat’s SS17 game is, unsurprisingly, strong. Full of mid-centuryesque shapes, industrial touches and bright colours, in my opinion the best thing about this collection is the creative approach to storage. I love the Tingo shelving units (pictured above and priced from £795) and the Jerry white 2 door sideboard (£295).
La Redoute are winning with their rug offering and Instagrammable accessories. I particularly like Loscan flat weave kilim rug (£169) and the Eberling two-tone blue/grey rug (£179). Accessories-wise, the Uyova freestanding glass and brass terrarium (£29) is pretty sweet.
HOUSE OF FRASER:
House of Fraser has gone for a tribal look with a couple of their collections this season, and I like it. It’s a refreshingly boho alternative to the minimalist Scandi look we’ve seen so much of the past few years. I also love the new pieces by Biba – very boho luxe with the moody dark colours and twinkly metallics that haven’t gone anywhere since last season.
The palm tree candlestick range (from £38) is brilliantly quirky and the leopard print cushion (£28) is the ideal pick if you’re an animal print enthusiast. The cut out lantern (£70) is also another fantastic statement piece – perfect for adding some personality to a conservatory or extension garden room.
By far my favourite range at John Lewis for SS17 is the Dakara collection. It’s bright, colourful and fun, taking inspiration from the eclectic and vibrant city of Havana. The heady mish-mash of print and colour is right up my eclectic loving street (also – look out for the Llama cushion and Cactus cushion in the range, launching soon. You heard it here first!)…
