Roost Team

WELCOME imageWelcome to Roost.

This is a collaborative site dedicated to stylish family living. Here at Roost we believe super-stylish interiors and comfortable family living can go hand in hand. After all, just because we have kids doesn’t mean we have to live with crayon-covered walls… not all the time anyway.

The Roost team members all have a different take on interiors style. Just like you, our tastes are unique. Roost is about sharing that individuality and bringing inspiration for all, no matter what your own interiors bag might be.

Molly RoostThe founder of Roost, Molly is also our main editor, running the site’s content schedules and liasing with brands. Molly’s your first point of contact if you have a question about Roost or would like to chat about brand collaborations (email her at

LIVES: Molly lives in a period cottage in a little village nestled on the edge of Dartmoor in South Devon, with her husband and two young daughters.

LOVES: Molly loves hot cups of tea, cold glasses of wine and browsing through vintage and antiques shops. An English Literature graduate from back in the day, Molly enjoys losing herself in a good book (when she has the energy to do more than just binge-watch addictive series on Netflix).

STYLE: Molly’s style is eclectic – some may call it fickle. Her passion for colour, pattern and vintage pieces regularly thwart her dreams of a sleek, Scandi-inspired, minimalist home. There are two pieces of furniture that hold a special place in Molly’s heart: her late grandmother’s McIntosh 1960 sideboard and a kids’ wardrobe she picked up on the side of the road and rescued from the skip, upcycling it into a loved piece of storage for her 5 year old’s clothes.

ELSEWHERE: Molly has a family lifestyle blog, Mother’s Always Right, is a freelance journalist writing for various interiors magazines, and is a blogger for the leading parenting website BabyCentre. You can find Molly on Twitter and Instagram as @mollyjforbes.

PamelaPamela is Roost’s go-to home organisation and trends girl, writing a monthly post for us on ways to hone a trend on a budget and make it your own, as well as ways to avoid the clutter of family life taking over your life. Pamela also helps run the Roost Twitter feed.

LIVES: Pamela lives with her husband and two girls in the Aberdeen countryside in North East Scotland. The family live in a renovated 18th century farmhouse and are currently working to bring it in line with their style.

LOVES: Besides interiors, Pamela loves organisation, coffee and photography.

STYLE: Pamela likes to decorate with a blank canvas, then style it up in affordable ways, meaning she can redecorate easily and cheaply when she falls for a new style. She’s currently all over the industrial interiors look.

ELSEWHERE: Pamela blogs at the beautiful Life With Munchers blog. You can also find Pamela on Twitter and Instagram as @lifewithmuncher.

Victoria Roost NewVictoria is Roost’s creative craft genius, bringing us regular home craft content, as well as running our Pinterest feed.

LIVES: On the South Coast of the UK, in a little seaside town called Portsmouth, with her husband and two children.

LOVES: Victoria loves endless cups of tea, good books and reading up on all things environmental. In love with all things nature-related, she can usually be found in the garden, roaming the woods or searching for treasures along the shore with her brood.

STYLE: A former hoarder, Victoria has recently discovered the joy of uncluttered shelves and is now definitely in the ‘less is more’ camp. Her home is an eclectic mix of modern rustic and Scandi chic, with a little thrifted loveliness thrown in for good measure.

ELSEWHERE: Victoria blogs over at The Owl and the Accordion, where she writes about crafts, crochet, interiors and sustainable living, and often contributes to various craft magazines. You can find her on Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram as @OwlandAccordion.

Lucy head shotLucy is Roost’s colour expert, contributing a monthly post with tips on how to use colour in the home, colour trends and styling inspiration.

LIVES: Lucy lives in a 300 year old farmhouse in a rural village in the west country with her husband, 2 young sons and 2 westies.

LOVES: Lucy loves endless piles of magazines on the coffee table, little bottles of home grown flowers on the window ledges, an AGA in the kitchen and a camera by her side.

STYLE: Lucy describes her home as a handpicked collection, mixing modern and heritage style. Antique furniture brought back to life with contemporary fabrics and sideboards bursting with photographs.

ELSEWHERE: Lucy writes the award winning lifestyle blog Capture by Lucy. She also works with like minded brands to create content for print and online publications, runs a product photography business and shot her first book for a renowned British Bakery to be published this Summer. You can find Lucy on Instagram and Twitter as @capturebylucy.

Anna Roost team

Anna is Roost’s resident upcycler, contributing posts about taking unloved items and transforming them into things of beauty.

LIVES: Anna lives in rural West Yorkshire in two 1870’s miners’ cottages knocked together, which she and her fiancé are renovating themselves. They share their home with an Italian rescue whippet cross, a pug, and two mischievous cats.

LOVES: Anna loves to be elbow deep in paint and hammers creating things, and turning her home into her dream cottage. This involves a lot of big mugs of tea and occasionally wine – it’s all part of the creative process! She also loves long dog walks on the moors and pestering her husband to let her have a horse.

STYLE: Anna’s aesthetic is quite classic and traditional, but with a modern twist, mixing vintage items with new design and hoping it all hangs together!

ELSEWHERE: Anna has been blogging her home renovations, DIYs and crafts, recipes and occasionally her travels over at for 3 years. You can find her on Instagram @annainternational and far too often on Pinterest (AnnaIntnational).
