Roost Team

WELCOME imageWelcome to Roost.

This is a collaborative site dedicated to stylish family living. Here at Roost we believe super-stylish interiors and comfortable family living can go hand in hand. After all, just because we have kids doesn’t mean we have to live with crayon-covered walls… not all the time anyway.

The Roost team members all have a different take on interiors style. Just like you, our tastes are unique. Roost is about sharing that individuality and bringing inspiration for all, no matter what your own interiors bag might be.

Molly RoostThe founder of Roost, Molly is also our main editor, running the site’s content schedules and liasing with brands. Molly’s your first point of contact if you have a question about Roost or would like to chat about brand collaborations (email her at teamroostblog@gmail.com).

LIVES: Molly lives in a period cottage in a little village nestled on the edge of Dartmoor in South Devon, with her husband and two young daughters.

LOVES: Molly loves hot cups of tea, cold glasses of wine and browsing through vintage and antiques shops. An English Literature graduate from back in the day, Molly enjoys losing herself in a good book (when she has the energy to do more than just binge-watch addictive series on Netflix).

STYLE: Molly’s style is eclectic – some may call it fickle. Her passion for colour, pattern and vintage pieces regularly thwart her dreams of a sleek, Scandi-inspired, minimalist home. There are two pieces of furniture that hold a special place in Molly’s heart: her late grandmother’s McIntosh 1960 sideboard and a kids’ wardrobe she picked up on the side of the road and rescued from the skip, upcycling it into a loved piece of storage for her 5 year old’s clothes.

ELSEWHERE: Molly has a family lifestyle blog, Mother’s Always Right, is a freelance journalist writing for various interiors magazines, and is a blogger for the leading parenting website BabyCentre. You can find Molly on Twitter and Instagram as @mollyjforbes.

Anna Roost team

Anna is Roost’s resident upcycler, contributing posts about taking unloved items and transforming them into things of beauty.

LIVES: Anna lives in rural West Yorkshire in two 1870’s miners’ cottages knocked together, which she and her fiancé are renovating themselves. They share their home with an Italian rescue whippet cross, a pug, and two mischievous cats.

LOVES: Anna loves to be elbow deep in paint and hammers creating things, and turning her home into her dream cottage. This involves a lot of big mugs of tea and occasionally wine – it’s all part of the creative process! She also loves long dog walks on the moors and pestering her husband to let her have a horse.

STYLE: Anna’s aesthetic is quite classic and traditional, but with a modern twist, mixing vintage items with new design and hoping it all hangs together!

ELSEWHERE: Anna has been blogging her home renovations, DIYs and crafts, recipes and occasionally her travels over at www.annainternationalblog.com for 3 years. You can find her on Instagram @annainternational and far too often on Pinterest (AnnaIntnational).
