And we’re back in the room.
Phew, that was a longer than intended break! Over the summer we decided to take a bit of time off from the site to focus on our families, our other work commitments and life in general. During that time one of the team (Anna) had a beautiful baby girl, and the rest of us had a chance to take a breath and have a real think about what we want from this site as we move into the new season.
Where have we been?
With this in mind, we thought it was about time to update you on what’s going on here at Roost and what you can expect from us over the next few months. Our DIY and upcycle queen Anna is taking time off to spend with her gorgeous little bundle, so our regular Anna tutorials will be taking a back-seat for now. However, there will still be occasional How To’s and DIY’s, plus if you’d like to fill the gap and are interested in getting involved with Roost then we’d love to hear from you too – you can email us firstname.lastname@example.org.
Victoria, our craft expert, is currently experiencing the deep joy of moving house (!) so is also taking some time away from the site. The good news, though, is that the crafts she’s already shared with us are still very much on trend so if you haven’t already had a go at creating your own Victoria style craft creations then there is still time! Favourites include hammered metal coasters, mini clay pots and wire noticeboard.
What you can expect from Roost over the next few months…
For autumn, then, it’s going to be myself (I’m Molly, hi!) and Pamela holding the fort sharing weekly posts about interiors trends, house tours, interiors hacks and organisation tips for stylish family living, plus the regular seasonal edits, trend watch posts and occasional DIY and How To guides. We’ll be posting at least once a week, along with a monthly newsletter full of extra content you can get stuck into – sign up here for exclusive interiors gems to be emailed direct to your inbox once a month, or use the form at the bottom of this post.
Things are always changing in the world of social media and, because we’d rather focus on quality content over quantity we’ll be continuing to put our efforts into making our Pinterest boards things of beauty, inspiration and fun as well as getting involved in the lovely interiors community over on Instagram. You can follow us on Pinterest here and on Instagram here. We’ll also be tweeting about our love of all things interiors – you can follow us on Twitter here.
Now we want to hear from YOU. Is there anything in particular YOU’D like to see us cover on Roost in the future? We’re continually looking to connect with the actual people who are lovely enough to read this blog and follow us on Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter, so do leave us a comment and let us know what you’d like to see on the site over the next few months.
THANK YOU and SEE YOU SOON! x
